Good evening everypony.

Holidays can bring up a plethora of emotional response in people, from extreme joy, to intense fear, to seething hatred, or to simple apathy. For some, there are bad memories, and for others, it's the beginning of a wonderful time.

The darkest day of the year marks the day winter begins. Winter has officially begun today, and with it, three months of intense cold to anyone living in the northern hemisphere. People historically gathered around this time of the year to ward off the stiffness and depression the cold months would bring ahead of them, to remind themselves of family, friends, and/or the community they found themselves in. Even if you don't celebrate any sort of "holiday" in any kind of way, get together with some friends, watch a movie, or do whatever it is you do together. Remind yourself of the people you've met and been with, as you begin another year.

Trust me, it's good for you. You'll thank yourself later.
